Timken Bearings rated for IP69K are specifically engineered to perform in Food and Beverage applications where high-pressure washdowns, dust, high humidity and excessive temperature differences exist. To meet the IP69K rating (for water and dust), our bearings did not allow any water or dust past the seal during the aggressive tests. Optically detectable blue FDA/EC IP69K seals comply with FDA guidelines for indirect food additives under 21 CFR 177.2600 'Rubber articles intended for repeated use', and meets the requirements of EC 1935/2004 'materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
